Sorry for the lack of updates this week. I promise I will be posting more stuff in the next few days since I'll probably have more time time to do so. ;]
Kelly Clarkson is releasing Don't Waste Your Time as the 2nd UK single as confirmed by her official UK website. I think this is a great choice and I applaud artists for relasing different singles all over the world because it gives the fans something different and it's great she's releasing a more poppy song as the new single in the UK. This should do well if all goes as planned. Hopefully she will promote it in the UK soon since she hasn't promoted much for this album.
Jennifer Lopez new single Hold It, Don't Drop it has now leaked in full and the song is better than the clip actually. I think this song will do well on the charts and I like it a lot. It has a funky feel to it. It's definately a step up from Rebirth and I can't take it off or repeat. I think I've fallen in love with this song. Can't wait for the video and album and to see her promoting this song as well as others this fall!
Among all the controversy over My December and Clive Davis' lack of support for the album, it has now been confirmed that Kelly Clarkson is working on a new album of pop material that Clive Davis will oversee for a release next year. During the UJA Federation Lunch; a lunch that raises money for charity and where Clive was being honored, is where they announced they would be working on a new album.
To be honest, My December was an amazing album and to be getting new material soon next year is more than I could ever ask for. I can't wait and I'm sure it'll be great. Kelly got an album out that she wanted and that she loved, and that's all she ever wanted. She's proud of the album and she never lost in this battle, if anything she won by getting it out and having everyone hear her album.
Tegan & Sara are back with their new album The Con and I'd find it very hard to follow up their last album So Jealous which pretty much solidified them as the most notable indie group of the past decade. You might also remember them from singing their hit song Walking With A Ghost a few years back. Credit to Anbel from Starsvip for one of the links until I can re-upload it.
OneRepublic have decided to release Apologize as their first single from their upcoming album. There has been so much buzz around this song that they are scheduled to perform the song on So You Think You Can Dance? on August 2nd at 8pm/EST on FOX. I'm not sure which version they will use for the single, whether it be the original or the remix that is featured on Timbalands album. It's one of my favorite songs at the moment and I'm sure it'll do great as a single.
Will.I.Am is doing his own solo thing right now and this is his new single from the album being released this fall. It kind of reminds me of My Humps and is VERY repetitive. I was expecting something a lot better from him, but I'm sure if I listen to it more I'll start liking it. It's just very repetitive.
This is a man who worked with Britney on the set of her video, and I would believe him far more than I would believe some crappy tabloid magazine. He has no reason to lie about the situation and I seriously doubt he would in the first place. Please guys, be weary about what you read in tabloids- they are after money and get paid.
Kelly Clarkson's new album My December was just recently released in Japan this week and we now have a new bonus song titled Fading. The song is great and I don't really know why the song wasn't included on the album. It's like guitar driven mellow song. The beat is like a mix between Maybe and Haunted. Great song overall.
James Blunt is back with a new album being released soon and the first single is titled 1973. Great song. It's kind of more mature than his last effort and a little bit more raw. I think it's a good follow up to his previous singles and if promoted properly could get him back to the top of the charts. If his album is like this single I think I might give it a listen. Hopefully he'll promote a lot more in the US this time around rather than really sticking to the UK audiences. It'd be something refreshing and new, even different, instead of all the crap that is played on the radio these days.
The Spice Girls are asking which city in the world you'd like to make SPICE CITY and I think that we should make Washington, DC; the capital of the United States that city because it would show the girls that the United States want them back and how much we love them! So vote for the nations capital as Spice City!
MTV is also asking fans to vote for who they would like to see perform at this years VMA's! I think it would be amazing as hell if the Spice Girls performed at the ceremony! If you'd like to see them perform MTV has a messageboard where you can make threads and post about who you'd like to see perform this year.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor recently performed at T4 On The Beach and she did amazingly. She performed Today The Suns On Us, Murder On The Dancefloor and a third song. I really wouldn't mind seeing her live one of these days, her songs are great.
I'm not quite sure what is going on with the new single but now Entertainment Tonight has stated that inside sources said that the new single is titled Gimme More and that was the song being played in the paparazzi video of Britney on the set. Even though MTV confirmed the single as Get Back, I guess we will never know for sure until there is a press statement from Jive or something announced on Britney's official website. Hopefully we'll have complete confirmation soon.
Darren Hayes is set to release his new double album This Delicate Thing We've Made on his independent label. He's been kind of releasing indie records now that he isn't in Savage Garden. The songs that I've heard from the album so far sound amazing. The first single On The Verge Of Something Wonderful is my favorite song right now and I'm addicted to it. It's pure pop and I don't think it could get any better. I love his vocals and his music is definately great.
Courtney Love has been recording her new album Nobody's Daughter which will be released later this year and a webrip of the new single Dirty Girls has surfaced on the web and it's a good song. I've never listened to her music before but I like this song even though her voice gets some getting used to. Credit to Krlos15 of StarsVIP.
Just to let you guys know, I made a little myspace page for anyone who wants to join it or just talk on it or something.. it's nothing special and it isn't there for any particular reason, but feel free to add it if you'd like.
Britney is shooting the video for her first single 'Get Back' today and I must say that she has learned what colors match and she looks great. I know for a fact she'll get back in shape and won't be as "all over the place" once promotion starts.
Jennifer Lopez is dropping her new single by the end of summer, and a clip of the song has leaked.. It sounds very kind of disco/funkish. It's a hard song to describe. It sounds interesting and very promising. Can't wait to hear the full song because I'll probably love the song in full. Credit to Ali's blog for posting the clip!
Nelly Furtado recorded two more new songs for her summer limited re-release of Loose in certain countries, and she has recorded her hit song 'Try' in spanish, and her recent single 'In Gods Hands' in spanish. I love the songs in spanish a lot!
Sum41 have released their new album Underclass Hero and I'm very interested to hear it. I loved their last album and 'Pieces' is one of my favorite songs of theirs. I will definately take a listen tonight to this album.
Lots seems to be going on in the world of Britney lately, and the album has been confirmed for a November release later this year! Whether this is true has yet to be confirmed, but she looks great regardless. Also X17 Online mentioned that they previewing the new song on their website Monday [Tomorrow] and X17 LOVES Britney so hopefully this time it will actually be true.
*An already famous singer, in her 70's and actually pulling off a more mature version of P!nk's 'Get This Party Started', and I must say I oddly like it!
Kelly Clarkson recorded her Yahoo! Nissan Live Mini-Concert last month and it's finally available on Yahoo! Music to view. She sounded great most of the time and she looked cute. Also if you haven't already, go out and buy a copy of My December!
Brandy is recording her new album to be released later this year and a new song titled 'Sweet Nothings' has surfaced. The song is kind of different for Brandy. It's not very R&B influenced at all, but rather kind of mellow and trancy. It's a very pretty song. I've read that it won't be included on her new album though.
The Backstreet Boys are finishing up recording their new album which will be released later this year and the clips we've heard so far sound promising. A new clip of a song called 'Inconsolable' was featured on Promosquad today and someone happened to rip it. It's a great song, can't wait to hear the album.
It was posted on the Official No Doubt Forums that Gwen Stefani may be re-releasing her platinum selling 'The Sweet Escape' album with a bonus remix album with remixes to every song. This sounds amazing and I really hope it's true. Of course Gwen was the inspiration for the title of the blog, so go pick the album up!
KT Tunstall is set to release her new album 'Drastic Fantastic' soon and the first single sounds very promising. The first single 'Hold On' is a very rocky/folky/pop track similar to her last album, so if you love KT's last album you will love this song. It's very good and I'm looking very forward to it since her last album was so great!
Beyonce is releasing her new single 'Get Me Bodied' in the US soon, and there are even talks of 'Green Light' being a single after that! Beyonce is all over the place. This new remix is done by Timbaland and features Fabolous doing a rap. I like this version as it's different and kind of adds something new to the song.
It was quite a shocker to read that Christina was releasing 'Oh Mother' in the UK as her next single. It just came out of nowhere and nobody expected it. I've always loved the song and it should do well on the charts- it's an amazing song. I just hope theres a very emotional great video for the song.
Fergie's been very successful with her recent album 'The Dutchess' and she plans on releasing 'Clumsy' as the next single in the US on the heels of her latest hit 'Big Girls Don't Cry'. It's a great song and should do great on the charts. There are other peformances of the single on Youtube that you can probably find. It should be a fun song to see her perform and the video would probably be very interesting to see.

Nelly Furtado is back with her 5th US Single 'Do It', and she's enlisted Missy to collaborate with her on the new single. It's not sure if this will be used as the single version or just a remix, but we'll know soon enough. Their are new backing vocals, and I swear she re-recorded the whole song, and a rap from Missy. I really hope she releases Wait For You as a single at some point, or something different like Afraid would be interesting; something someone wouldn't really expect.
The LIVE EARTH Concerts which are helping to raise awareness for climate issues took place all day today and I took the time to record a lot of the concert footage that was shown on television for you guys. I didn't get everything, but what I didn't manage to get someone else did and I posted that as well! I'm actually glad I got to see all the footage this time, because last time when LIVE 8 was happening we had a storm and the power went out- it was awful. I was pissed off to no end. Enjoy!
*I'm posting video's one by one, so check back..
Not all video's have links, I just wanted to post to show you what I had so far, and when a video is uploaded to dailymotion I will post the link to the video!

Avril Lavigne has decided to release 'Hot' as her 3rd single from her hit album 'The Best Damn Thing'. The song is one of my favorites from the album and I knew she'd release it from the beginning. 'When You're Gone' is already on it's way to becoming a hit in the US, so Avril has been very successful with this album!
Aly & AJ, two disney stars, are releasing their new album this month. Haven't quite got a chance to listen to this album yet but I definately want to sometime soon when I find the time. If the first single is any indication of the sound of the rest of the album then I might actually like it. Their past few singles have been great, so I'll give it a listen most definately since I love the first single and the video!
Aly & AJ's new album 'Insomniatic' will be out soon and their new single 'The Potential Breakup Song' is a great song. They have been performing their single live for promotion and they stopped by Regis & Kelly recently.
Transformers is already in theatres and I've heard it's a great movie, and here is the sountrack to the movie! The soundtrack is one of the best I have seen lately and has all great rock artists and such. I think this is one of the first soundtracks I have bought in a long while.
Timbaland's current single 'The Way I Are' featuring Keri Hilson has blasted it's way up the charts coming in at #5 this week on the Hot 100 and packed alongside a hot video this song is likely to be another #1 for Timbaland! He can just do no wrong these days. Here is the PROMO CD of the single and I have to say that I love the Rock Remix of the song the most. It's definately my favorite.
