Boys Like Girls have had hits with their past two singles 'The Great Escape' and 'Hero/Heroine'- and I'm sure their third single 'Thunder' will be one as well. It's a great song- but why haven't they released 'Five Minutes To Midnight' yet? That song would be bigger than anything they've released before- it better get released!
Mariah Carey is back with her new album, hitting stores in April- and after the very successful #1 single, 'Touch My Body', she is releasing 'Bye Bye' as her second single- a ballad. The song sounds great- and should be a big hit for her- and Migrate sounds very hot. I can't wait for this album- and plan on buying Mariah's and Madonna's in April. Listen to HQ clips of the songs below and see what you think!
The featured artist poll is now up for May's Artist of the Month. The artist of the month will continue to be Madonna for most of April because I didn't get the last poll up til the beginning part of March- so I wanted to wait a while so that the months polls would be even and at the beginning of each month
The options for May's AOTM Poll are as follows- Paramore, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Metro Station, Ashlee Simpson and Leona Lewis. Feel free to vote more than once- but don't purposefully vote a billion times. Get to voting!
The Last Goodnight had a hit single with their debut single 'Pictures Of You'- which was a great song, so hopefully they can continue the trend with their new single 'Stay Beautiful' instead of disappearing into oblivion like so many other bands have in the past. Download the single below and see what you think.
Christina Aguilera did a Pepsi commercial before her last album Back To Basics came out, and the remix used in the song has been a fan favorite among the Christina fans. The remix never leaked in full- except for a clip and a fanmade remix. The official remix was put up on the producers myspace page, and was ripped. This is definitely better than the album version, and should have been released as a last single or something. Download it below and see what you think about it.
Beyonce is working on her next studio album after having success with her recent release B'day, and a newly recorded, or supposedly new song leaked yesterday titled 'Beautiful Nitemare'. It has a mellow dance type feel to the song- and it's an indication of her moving into a new sound like she said she would on the new album. If this is a demo, I can't wait to hear the final version and the album for that matter, because it's hot! Download the song below and see what you think.
Madonna's first single has already been racing up the pop radio chart at an extremely large rate- and gaining massive bullets. It's already at #23 on Pop Radio with a +2300 bullet after only five days- and will most likely enter the top 20 tomorrow after only a week of airplay- this is one of the largest bullets in the past three years- and one of the largest rising singles she's had in years. The single is also doing extremely well in Canada- leaping into the top 5 on their Pop Radio charts in only a week! The single is NOW available on iTunes- so be sure to pick up your copy of the song and support the Queen of Pop and get her her first #1 single in almost eight years! So get to it guys- purchase the single- what's a dollar going to hurt?
Britney has released 'Break The Ice' as the 3rd single from Blackout, and it's about time for the remixes to hit the scene- one of them is this Soulseekerz Club Mix, and it features brand new vocals from Britney in the verses- not on the chorus. It's definitely a great remix, so check it out and be sure to purchase the song on iTunes and support Britney! Britney was also seen leaving a recording studio today- new music, performance, tour, re-release? Who knows- guess we'll find out soon!
After the success of the first single 'Into The Night' featuring Chad Kroeger, Santana will be releasing 'This Boy's Fire' featuring Jennifer Lopez and Baby Bash as his second single to Pop Radio. The song is sure to be Jennifer Lopez first hit in a long while and maybe will spark more interest in her next releases. The radio-edit of the song is a bit different than the album version- different beginning, and added beats and verses- so check it out! It's definitely a hit song in the making.
Nelly hasn't had much success with his recent singles from his past few albums although this single might be the song to change everything. This is one of the hottest songs he's ever released and this will for sure be a hit single- especially since Fergie is featured on the song. Download the song below and see what you think!

Ferras' new single 'Hollywood's Not America' was used as the goodbye song on Hollywood Week on American Idol, and since then the song has been moving up the pop radio chart, currently sitting at #38 and increasing. Things are looking up for this new artist, and his album isn't too shabby either- great overall.
What you've all been waiting for- Madonna's new single. The album version and radio version leaked in HQ and you can download them below. The song is amazing and will definitely be Madonna's first #1 single since Music which was almost a decade ago. The song premieres today on radio around the world, so be sure to request it at your local radio station! It will be available digitally Tuesday on 7Digital, and on iTunes the 25th of March- rumor is the video premieres today too.
Mariah Carey appeared on Saturday Night Live tonight, and performed her hit single 'Touch My Body', as well as a new song titled 'Migrate'. Both songs were done well- although I have to say that on 'Migrate' it seems like her vocals aren't raw and edgy enough for the song. It's a great song, but her voice just doesn't seem to be the right one for the song. Otherwise- great night for Mariah. She looked wonderful and absolutely beautiful. Click to see the performances below.
Carrie Underwood's third single is going to be 'Last Name' as confirmed by All Access- taken from her already platinum selling album Carnival Ride. This isn't the best choice for a single- but then again, I didn't like All American Girl and it went to #1, so it's just a matter of taste I guess. I think 'Get Outta This Town', and 'Flat On The Floor' would be better choices. It's pretty much a rip-off of Alan Jackson's 'I Don't Even Know Your Name'. It should do well on the charts regardless.
Madonna's highly anticipated new single '4 Minutes' featuring Justin Timberlake and produced by Timbaland is set to hit radio Monday! The video for the single will also premiere on March 29th as reported in a few articles- but we'll see. This single is going to explode and become massive next week- mark my words!
Also premiered today was the album cover of 'Hard Candy'- the new album from Madonna. It is a great cover, and the candy font makes it cute. No, it's not extremely wonderful, but it's a nice cover and will definitely attract people. The album will be released April 29th, and be sure to purchase the first single '4 Minutes'!
Alanis Morisette's new single 'Underneath' from her highly anticipated upcoming album Flavours of Entanglement is set to be released digitally on March 24th. So be sure to purchase the single on iTunes or any other digital download service next week! The album has been getting rave reviews, and says it has some of her best work since Jagged Little Pill- you know, that album that sold 15 million copies worldwide and had numerous hit singles! Be sure to check back for more Alanis news as it is reported.
Janet Jackson is featured on the cover of this months Blackbook Magazine and looks absolutely stunning. It's definitely a fierce pose, and can't wait to see what she has coming next! Also, Janet's label Island Def Jame is releasing 'Can't B Good' as a new single only for the Urban AC format on radio. The song is one of the best ballads on the album, and hopefully they'll release 'Greatest X' as the next pop single after all of this mess- it's great album and doesn't deserve to flop.
Avril Lavigne is releasing 'The Best Damn Thing' as the fourth single from her hit album of the same name. The single just follows the trend of Avril just wanting to have a good time and releasing uptempo fun songs as her singles. I love this song, and I'd completely die if she ever released 'I Don't Have To Try' as a single later. Download the single below, and watch a live performance of it as well!
Paramore is releasing 'That's What You Get' as the next single from their amazing album 'Riot!'. Hopefully after this they will be smart and release 'Hallelujah' in the US, or release 'When It Rains' to Mainstream Pop Radio- it'd be a smash single! The single is below, download it and see what you think!
Metro Station's new single 'Shake It' already is getting airplay on Pop radio as well as other formats. It's definitely a great song and deserves to be a hit- it's different and unique. Also, another interesting fact- Supposedly, the lead singer is Oliver from Hannah Montana's brother! Download the single below, and see what you think!
Dolly Parton is back with her second single from her new album 'Backwoods Barbie'. The album is her first mainstream country album in almost a decade, and it's one of her best albums in my opinion. The second single is titled 'Jesus & Gravity' and it's one of the best songs on the album. Definitely a must-have song, so download it!
3 Doors Down have always been a band to come out with great singles, and their new single 'It's Not My Time' is no different. It's not their best single, but it is still one of their good singles by comparison. It should be a hit at multiple formats on radio including Pop, Rock, Alternative and should do well on the charts.
A new song ripped off of the radio titled 'Closer' has been online for a few days, and the song isn't really anything new for Ne-Yo. It's basically the same old ballad stuff he always seems to do- I just wish he'd switch his style up or something. This is like 'Because Of You' meets 'Don't Stop The Music' but a bit stripped down.
Paula Abdul's new single 'Dance Like There's No Tomorrow'is steadily rising the charts and getting downloads on iTunes lately, but she has yet to promote it properly. I think this single had the potential to be a hit if she performed it more than once. Paul Oakenfold remixed the single and it's a great remix- you can download it below and see how you like it! Also, she has new material coming out this summer!
Mariah Carey's new single 'Touch My Body' is racing up the airplay charts, and even though it shows some signs of slowing down on Pop Radio- it will still more than likely reach a peak of #2 on the Hot 100 once the song is available on iTunes. The single has a new official remix featuring The Dream, and it's better than the original. Download the remix below, and see what you think!
Akon has had his mix of success and failure with past singles, so we'll see how this single does on the charts- but usually anything with T-Pain becomes a hit for some reason, so hopefully this will be a hit for Akon. The new single 'I Can't Wait' features T-Pain, as I mentioned before, and will be sent to radio soon. You can see the video for the single below, as well as download it!
Finger Eleven are releasing a new single in the US, 'I'll Keep Your Memory Vague' and hopefully it will be just as big as 'Paralyzer' was. The single was a major hit in Canada, so hopefully that translates to radio here. The song is great and every bet as good if not better than 'Paralyzer'. You can view the video for the single below, as well as download it. Post what you think in then comments as well.
Currently working on projects for his label, Year Round Records, DJ Premier shared plans to head back into the studio with Christina Aguilera soon.
"I'm definitely working with her on the next album," Premier said. "She's doing an all pop album again, but she wants me to keep the tone like what we did before. She's ready to start next month...She's so cool, she's like my little sister now."
